A blend of peer support and psycho-education
Many people think there are stages to grief or a checklist that they have to work through and then they’re done with the heartache! I hate to be the barrier of bad news, but grief isn’t linear, it’s more like a roller coaster. There is hope though. The constant pain you feel won’t be as sharp, it’ll change and feel/look different over time.
This group is for you if:
You are a 14-18 years old
You are within your first year of grieving a loved one
You feel alone in your grief and are seeking community
You want practical tools to navigate difficult emotions
You appreciate a warm, supportive, non-judgmental environment
What to expect each week:
Each session will include a mix of:
Guided conversation about common experiences of grief
Education on emotional processing, coping skills, and self-care
Supportive connection with others who understand
Gentle Activities or take home exercsies such as expressive writing prompts
Theme examples:
Grief in the first year, understanding the impacts of grief, navigating relationships and support, staying connected with your loved one, identity and healing.
